Staff Categories
Staff categories define role types within your organization (e.g. “Senior Consultant”, “Graduate”) with default charge-out rates used for billing. Manage them at /staff-categories — admin only.

How rates work
- Each category has a default hourly rate.
- This rate is used when calculating billable amounts for invoices.
- Rates can be overridden at the project level or work scope level for flexibility.
- Every employee is assigned to one staff category.
Admin-only. Set up your categories before inviting team members so you can assign each person to the correct category during onboarding.
